Mahindra launched the facelifted XUV 700 in early January, calling it the XUV 7XO. The SUV went beyond a mere cosmetic update and came with significant improvements to its cabin. Priced from Rs 13.66 lakh, ex-showroom, deliveries of the 7XO started commencing in mid-January. The manufacturer has now come up with an interesting announcement: It will launch a Women’s edition on the 7XO soon.
Mahindra XUV 7XO Women’s Edition Launch Details
The XUV 7XO’s official X (previously Twitter) handle has shared a picture giving out early details of the special edition. It shows an SUV under a red veil, along with the text ‘XUV 7XO Women’s Edition unveiling soon’. The caption further has the lines: ‘The glass ceiling looks different from the skyroof. Introducing: The 7XO Women's Edition.’
This image was shared on March 6th. The international women’s day is celebrated on March 8, every year. It looks like Mahindra will unveil the women’s edition on the same day, although the carmaker hasn’t explicitly mentioned a launch date at the time of writing this article. No more confirmed detail of the Women’s edition 7XO has surfaced yet. We expect it to get cosmetic enhancements and possibly a new colour scheme over the regular version.

Mahindra seems to be doubling down on special edition cars. After launching and relaunching it again, it has now made the BE6 Batman edition a regular model that’s not production-capped. BE6 FE, a Formula E-inspired derivative of the electric SUV is also on sale now. The 7XO Women’s edition is the latest in line.

The SUV rides on 19-inch alloy wheels and has redesigned LED tail lamps and a new rear bumper as well.

The feature list is long and has the likes of a panoramic sunroof, level 2+ ADAS, triple screen cluster (coast-to-coast screens), BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) mounts, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, wireless charger for smartphones, ventilated seats, auto-dimming IRVM, electronic parking brake, connected car suite, 540-degree camera, and more.

Manual and automatic transmissions are offered with both these engines. All Wheel Drive (AWD) is available on the higher variants.
The biggest improvement has come about in the suspension setup. The 7XO gets McPherson struts at the front and a multi-link setup with control blade at the rear. More importantly, it gets Davinci dampers, which bring about a perfect balance between ride quality and handling.
